What a great place. Walk along the cliff top and see kittiwakes, rock doves, eider duck, cormorants, gulls and other species close up. They are a great sight and make a fantastic noise when you are near their rookeries There is a hide and several benches to sit and take in the views The mud had all dried up and... More

Bird breeding season from April & still some birds lingering till September. Be sure to look out for butterflies, moths and smaller mammals such as shrew as you make your way along the path.

Fowlsheugh has to be one of the hidden gems of North East Scotland. Spectacular cliffs, thousands of birds, no tourists, and puffins! If you're going, take the coast road south out of Stonehaven. Turn at the sign for Crawton, and follow the road to the end. The car park only accommodates 12 cars, but we never saw more than four.... More

Hadn't been here in years but was worth the walk to see the puffins. The new 'hide' is a great addition to the experience.

Was fantastic to be able to walk at our own pace & view the birds. Lots of lovely spots to sit & watch them fly over or have a little picnic. Other than a couple of professional photographers, we were the only ones there. Such a great place to just spend time watching the birds though we were careful not... More

Guillemots, razorbills, kittiwakes and even a few puffins. Enjoyed the walk along the cliffs to the lovely hide containing some useful info.

Literally millions of seabirds, including puffins, all within easy sight in the breeding season. There are also boat trips from Stonehaven harbour May/June.
