the place is not crowded compared to kayangan lake. i find the water dark maybe because the lake is very deep. the wooden railings and steps are a bit shaky. if you have weak knees, this is not for you to explore. the lake is so calming to look at especially when the wind blows hard.
From above the water, Barracuda Lake is like Kayangan Lake, both enclosed. If you're a diver, don't miss the chance to dive here. As we went down for our dive, i immediately noticed a silhouette near our dive master's fins. I was surprised to see that it was a barracuda! :) So thus the name barracuda lake. As we went...

Went diving here, it was very weird but well worth it. Being able to swim through the different layers of varying degrees was surreal, particularly the heat haze. At one point I hadmy head in the cold and body in the warm...
The only drawbacks, is you can get a little bored down there after a while as there is...

Diving here was an incredibly delightful surprise. Experiencing the thermal stratification of the lake, playing in the "mud" at the bottom, setting up obstacle courses with logs underwater, and hand feeding catfish and shrimp made this unforgettable.
Another site for interesting dive. :) and once you dip on it nd go deeper .., you'll be able to see the name of the lake. You need to hike for 15 mins before you can enjoy the clear water of this lake.
If you dive, this is a really unusual experience. The thermoclines are awesome. Just be sure to adjust weights to freshwater weight and be aware you'll have to climb steps and ladders with your kit on to reach the lake.
We took a daytour, which included this lake as one of 5 destinations, for half the price some of the other operators charge. Beautiful lime stones, crystal clear blue water. One of the places that is sure worth visiting.
The lake is surrounded by limestones and forest all over. The water is very clear and it can be warm and cold on certain spots. It gets very deep on some areas and the area of the lake is quite huge. There used to be a lot of Barracudas in the lake but our guide said they have been going...
