Great for a walk or a jog in the morning, nice fresh air by the lake. Though certain places are dirty with leftover rubbish from picnickers. Plenty of choices for food in the evening just beside the town area.

The lake gardens are a sprawling green surrounding a large lake whichis a tin mine filled up! There are some really marvellous , large trees, shady walks, benches, childrens' corners. Everything, in fact, to make it a lovely place to relax.
Well maintained lake, it was very clean and was a peaceful place for family picnic. There was a lot of people especially in the morning and the evening. You might have to say away from the jogging track if planning to have a picnic, because with all those people go jogging at the same time, it was a like a...

It's definitely a wonderful place to bring the family for an evening stroll around the lake View of Maxwell Hill is just spectacular all around Highlight of the garden was the huge tree's leaning towards to lake The serenity & tranquality of the place is beyond words Great place for a picnic on the weekends
First time visit to Lake Taiping gave me the serenity and tranquality feeling. The rainforest trees surrounding the lake make strolling and walking around the area a pleasant thing to do. I personally dont feel that I was in Taiping, Perak Malaysia if I didnt see any local faces picnicking there. Love the views of this clean lake.
The Taiping Lake Gardens is a product of the days when tin was the commodity of the day in the 1800s and well into the early 1900s. The lakes are actually pits that were dug by gigantic dredgers that was a huge as a steamship floating on the lake. Now, with the operations long ceased and water has filled up...

It's got very well kept sidewalks that wrap around a series of lakes. If you're lucky, you'll see monkeys (and iguanas) playing on both sides of the roads.
Great spot to take photo and enjoy the scenery. You may enjoy a walk with family and partner there. We will visit again and again

Th greenery and planting are magnificent, some parts of the road are lines with ancient old raintrees, leading you to the zoo, a few...

The last time I visited Taiping Lake Garden was perhaps 25 years ago. I remembered the huge rain trees the ringed the lake - those rain trees are still there, only even more massive. I enjoyed wondering among the bamboo stands, palm bushes, and towering trees around the scenic lake, with the always cloudy Bukit Larut serving as the backdrop....
