We went for a walk around the Taipa Village and stumbled across the Houses Museum, we wandered through a couple of the houses, they were okay, and the lake in front is nice, (interesting wedding photo shoots to watch) but probably not worth a special trip to see

These houses are in a perfect area to walk around and see the beauty of Macau. There are also beautiful gardens around to enjoy the sun and maybe a nice picnic when weather isn't so hot.

When in Macau, just pay a visit to Taipa Island and Taipa Village. The most beautiful sight on Taipa is this museum of five lime-green summer residences of wealthy Macanese from 1921. Worth wile a visit!

Did not put high hope when mom mentioned she wants to visit this museum. However, I get a pleasant surprise of the view of row of green-and-white color houses with row of banyan trees even though weather is gloomy and raining on the day I visited this museum. I personally would love to take a seat on one of the... More

My teenager daughter and I absolutely loved The Macanese House, one of the 5 attractive square-shaped buildings there. We enjoyed every inch, every corner! From the old-fashioned cosy kitchen, to the comfy living room, and especially, the two beautiful Victorian-looking bedrooms. It was fantastic! A must-go for 'dreamers' like us!

I was staying a short walk away, and so took a stroll down to check this out. I thought the flowers were very nice considering it was December. I thought the first house was the most interesting as they tried to replicate how a house would have been furnished during that time period. I am very interested in historical replicas,... More

The Taipa Houses are basically museums, nowadays, and each house corresponds to a theme. It's actually really educative, and I liked it, I've been there twice. Plus, the taipa area is really cool, if you plan on going there, try to visit the houses in the morning and then just hang out in Taipa in the afternoon. They have pretty... More

We visited the Taipa Houses Museum and found it to be a good compliment attraction in Taipa Village. Here you will find a series of five restored Macanese houses, greenish in colour. The homes are typical of colonial Portuese era. The ticket price is MOP5 which gives you entrance into the first three houses. House 4 is free and House... More

The Taipa Houses Museum was one of the stops in the Discover Macau Tour by Cotai Travel. It's a fairly interesting stop for first time Macau tourists -- there are some nice old pictures of Macau and nice old furniture in three or four houses within a pretty little park. The place is very, very small so there's not much... More
