You simply must make this a top priority when in Menorca. You may need a car to get here, I am not sure whether hotels do a trip. The history here is great.

This is a really interesting tour. We spent a great day here appreciating the relatively recent history to be seen. Situated at the enterance to Mahon harbour this construction was started by the British in 1713 and later taken over by the Spanish and in use until 1980. my other half is addicted to the place and goes everytime we visit Menorca (up to 3 times a year). Absolutely massive site which they also have golf carts to get around on. Really different place to visit, amazing views over the sea. oh, and it's haunted too!
