A must see in person. Traveled to both north and south rims to take in a beautiful creation. No problem with traveling around as there are very good roads and plenty of pullover and scenic points. We understand why it is called Yellowstone because the rocks and stones are sure enough yellow. All roads to the parks were not open... More

Walk to the end of Artists point and up the stairs to the overlook. Bring your camera and binoculars.

Truly the "must-see" site of Yellowstone. Cameras and pictures do not do justice to this masterpiece of God's work! Relaxing to watch, amazing to hear, and breathtaking to just envelop each visitor.

We got a little hiking around during the afternoon but I loved the colors of the canyon during the sunset hours.

It is amazing to see what water erosion can do over time. It's a great spot to visit. The nearby waterfalls are also amazing

Awesome hike with great views..we were lulled into complacency due to the big crowds at the start of this trail by artist point... Found out a man was mauled to death on this trail a year before by a grizzly. Not trying to discourage -great trail and amazing -like most of Yellowstone. But wanted to mention that even this close... More

The falls were beautiful, and the view point was magnificent, not least because you could see all the yellow rock that gave Yellowstone it's name. Apparently the falls are the same height as the Statue of Liberty. Who knew? We saw a bear on the road in, or at least our tour guide spotted it for us. Very exciting.

it is a lot smaller than Grand Canyon in Arizona. But there are nice trails and a waterfall and cute squirrels.

We only had 30 minute at the canyon and only select areas open. The guide was awesome and very knowledgeable. Plenty of stops for viewing wild life and scenery.
