The museum is housed in the repurposed former Union Terminal building, one of the icons of late American Art Deco architecture. Built in the final phase of the period in which train travel tied a continental United States together, it breathtakingly captures the energy and aspirations of an emerging industrial giant. The rotunda is the largest half dome in the... More

As far as a critical, on-the-spot review goes, I cannot provide one. I have been visiting this museum since my early childhood. It was such an integral part of my growing experience, it took me until recently to realize how blessed I was to have this nearby as a kid. The Omnimax constantly brings in new films to view, and... Beautiful building that still is a train terminal though not anywhere near the the WWII days. It has a place in our memories of that time. Now there are museums and an IMAX theater. It is an excellent location to take school age children to learn of the area and to expose them to some other historical pieces as they... More

This is possibly the best museum center I have ever been to. It is call Union Terminal because it is an old and still operating train terminal. The have beautiful mosaics in the huge dome and the architecture is amazing before you even enter any of the several museums indoors. There is an omnimax theater that is always a one... More

We went here along with the other museums in the building. It is a good little museum about the history of the area. Be sure not to miss the basement. The coolest part is definitely the city replica.

This is an interesting place to visit, assuming you come here early. The main attraction right now, as you know, are the Dead Sea Scrolls. Even though I’m definitely interested in theology and Biblical history, I can’t say seeing these is a big deal: they’re just scrolls with writing on them that you can’t understand. And this is the busiest... More

Good display with lots of information. It was a little pricey, but how often do you get to see something like this. Be aware that if you go when it is crowded, that you'll have a tough time spending time looking at the actual scroll fragments. That part of of it was not organized well for very busy times.

The museum is awesome. So much to see. I love the murals (or whatever they are called) on the upper walls, showing pictures from the past. Just a wonderful place.

PRICE: We paid $52 for 2 tickets to see the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit. LENGTH: We stayed for 2 1/2 hours. ENVIRONMENT: The Cincy Museum is beautiful! A large foyer greets you as you walk in, with arching ceilings (somewhat reminiscent of Grand Central Station, NYC). EXPERIENCE: Our tickets were quickly obtained at Will Call. However, even though we were... More
