The staff at Reef Pirates Diving are knowledgeable and friendly, and will make sure you get the best diving experience possible. Reef Pirates focuses on small group/class sizes which creates a more relaxed atmosphere than other, larger companies. While there is a lot of emphasis on just enjoying the diving, Reef Pirates Diving is also very focused on ensuring maximum... More

I am very happy I chose Reef Pirates in Nov 2011 for my specialty dives while vacationing in HI. Sean and the team were incredible. They were very accommodating - picking me up at the hotel/dropping me off. But what impressed me more was the fact that each dive was different from the one before. And we avoided the crowded... I read all the great reviews on here and was excited when we booked a dive with these guys. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't great either. They told us to be outside our hotel at 6:30 for pick up - the dive guide didn't get there until after 7 am, and never apologized or offerred any explanation for being... More

I do apologize for any negativity with regards to the crew that day. In addition to your group we did take out some instructors from another shop. They were paid customers as well, they just happened to be from a different part of the island. Again, I do apologize if they or anyone of my crew had a bad attitude.... More

I just want to say thanks to Will and Chase who took us diving last week. My son is just a beginner diver and was made to feel very comfortable during the dives. The team were very professional and I much preferred my experience with Reef Pirates as compared to our dive the week before with another larger company in... More

After reading all of the positive reviews of Reef Pirates, I was excited about the opportunity to dive with Sean and his smaller operation. Sometimes the larger operations feel like a cattle call and the ability to be on a boat with just 6 sounded perfect. Big mistake. Sean employs the worst dive master - ever. If you are going... More

I am sorry to hear you feel so negatibvely about our instructor, but from your review I do not understand why you feel so strongly. It is our policy to check peoples air occasionally (especially at the start of the dives to make sure your air is good, etc, and to get an idea of your air consumption rate so... More

I have my Advance certification with 75 dives and my daughter has just a few dives after her Open Water certification. I like to set up my diving excursions before leaving on vacation. I e-mailed them with my requests and they replied promptly each time. We dove with Reef Pirate Diving for a two tank dive on December 13, 2011.... More

I met Will, one of the dive masters on the street in Waikiki when I saw the company SUV and talked to him, that was my first contact with Reef Pirates. Very nice, polite and patient guy. He refered me to Sean, the owner, as I wanted to get my PADI Open Water certificate. I called, him and he was... More

We dove to obtain our Advanced Open Water certification. Will or Chase would pick us up in Waikiki in the morning and brief us on the skills we would focus on to achieve our goal. Will (divemaster) focuses on knowledge and safety and ensures you understand the principles your need to learn. Sean (owner & boat captain) and Chase (divemaster... More

I just returned from my Hawai'i trip where a completed my scuba diving certification. I'm so glad I went with Reef Pirates. I asked tons of questions before selecting this company and Steve, the owner, always had quick and honest answers. I appreciate that they keep the diving groups small and treat you to a fun day that is also... More

I chose Reef Pirates because of their small group policy and dove with them for 3 days, doing 10 dives in all. On the first day, we were out on a charter boat with several other groups of divers. We had a divemaster from Reef Pirates to ourselves and they did try to keep us away from the overall group.... More
