We go with out-of-town guests because it's unique to this area. Talented musicians and dancers, sometimes a bit corny and over-the-top, but fuels home-grown impersonators on the long drive home. My sister and I can still do our "Miss Emily" act two years since her visit...I guess that's worth it!

We traveled to Montana for my uncle's 80the Birthday Party. One day the whole crew went over to Medora, and enjoyed the National Park & the Musical. WOW - what a fun time. The town is charming and welcoming (although pretty touristy as you would expect). The Park was wonderful - got some amazing wild horse and buffalo photos. The... More

They always put on a great show! Changes every year. They have tryouts for the entertainers, so always top notch! No matter what's playing....it's worth the trip.

Teddy Roosevelt gathered his "Rough Riders" in and around Medora, North Dakota. This little town hosts the Medora Musical, celebrating his time as a cowboy. The cast is wonderfully fresh talented college students. Couple it with the pitchfork fondue dinner for a feel good family evening. The "French Chateau" is worth a visit and fills in some history. The town... More

Great all American musical. Bring a raincoat if chance of rain -- seating is outdoors. Ditto in late Summer when it can get chilly

One of the best outdoor musicals ever - with the badlands for the background behind the stage. Patriotic, fun, country-western music, with gorgeous, enthusiastic young men and women players/singers...

After a wonderful steak at the Pitchfork Fondue we were lucky enough to get a beautiful evening to see the Medora Musical. What a fun, energetic, talented cast. Thoroughly enjoyed the musical - the set, the costumes and the music were the background for the talented ensemble who entertained us from start to finish. Highly recommend and we will definitely... It was next to the last show of the season. The performers tried hard to be enthusiastic but couldn't quite pull it off. Pretty commercialized, pushed you to buy the merchandise. The sound system was good, I would have like to have heard some old time western songs instead of contemporary C&W. The story line re Medora was nice.

The musical was very very good and well worth the money. The outdoor ampitheatre is well set up with comfortable seats. With clear skies, elk on the hillside in the wide open spaces of North Dakota it was just beautiful. We booked our tickets in advance online but were able to change them as there was rain the night of our... More

We'd heard so much about it. I'm not much of a "Musical" person, but this was very enjoyable. The acting and humor was great...although quite often is was difficult to understand what they were saying or singing.
