I guess because it is so far south, it should be obvious that the snow condition can be very sketchy. Small area but interesting terrain if you go off piste. The big negatives are the crowds, especially on the weekends. This is made more pronounced by the incredibly slow main chair. I'd forgotten how slow chairs can be and how... More

We did this trail for Mother's day and it was the Perfect weather, no crowds and very easy to follow. This is a MUST if you are into hiking, in Flagstaff during the summer months and ready to be outdoors:)

Aren't the northern Arizona’s outdoors wonderful? Those of us who live here are truly blessed with variable options to spend our time with nature and we invite everyone to come up, especially during the hot summer months in the Phoenix valley. Ride your bike, go hiking, take the scenic chairlift ride. Whatever you do – enjoy the coolest place in... More

The best way to describe this resort was "comfortable." It was nice sized where it would keep you busy for a full day but not a huge resort. I also think Flagstaff is a friendlier and more welcoming town compared to other pretentious ski resorts/destinations. I think this is a great place for a quick ski trip where you can... More

Thank you very much for your feedback. Flagstaff is certainly a laid-back town, with a great skier town atmosphere. We pride ourselves in being a locals’ mountain, where we welcome everyone at any skill level, we take time to say Thank You and the tickets are reasonably priced. With plans for more upgrades (including new lifts and facilities), we look... More

I am a beginner so I had a very hard time skiing down these hills but my husband is an expert so he loved it. I wasn't able to go up to see the Grand Canyon from the Mountain top since it's snowboarding season. Overall, it was a fun experience.

Located in scenic and beautiful Flagstaff Arizona, the Arizona Snowbowl is a haven for skiers and snowboarders. Approximately 2 1/2 hours from Phoenix, the locale offers fun and quality runs for skiers and boarders of all experience levels. Upon arrival, the friendly and helpful staff not only got us parked, but gave cars and trucks plenty of room to maneuver... More

Thank you very much for your feedback. We are glad to hear that you had a great time on the slopes. Snowbowl is entering the most interesting stage in its development, when a lot of new things and projects are going to happen: from expansion of the snowmaking system, to lift and facilities upgrades. We hope you will like the... More

That's how locals in Phoenix refer to Flagstaff, also an University town(NAU) among other things. So....We took the Grandkids up for the weekend in January/February with their modest collection of snowboards. The roads leading in to the ski area were plowed with tons of fresh powder on either side and as far as you could see. Refreshing, to say the... More

Great fun on a Tuesday morning at this ski resort. End of season and very quiet. Snow not the best and very slow lifts. But a great place to ski for NAU students. Not many places to ski in Arizona so this was a fun find.

Thank you for checking us out while touring NAU. As you have mentioned there are not that many placed you can ski in a cactus state, and we are proud to provide such services in Arizona. Spring 2013 did not bring as much snow as we were hoping for, but we look forward to expanding our snowmaking system even more... More

This smallish ski/snowboard park on the northwetern slope of the only mountain for 100 miles is a clean, well run area. Room for alllevels of expertise and can be crowded on weekends when the snow is fresh.

Thank you very much for you message. We appreciate customers' feedback and we are very glad you enjoyed skiing in Arizona. As you have mentioned, we are the only place in northern Arizona to ski and we do see increase in skiers over the weekends and when snow is fresh. Now when we have snowmaking in place, Snowbowl is moving... More

Our Spring Break debate was sun and beach versus skiing. We opted to spend a few days in the sun in Phoenix and then head up to Flagstaff (2 hour beautiful drive) to Flagstaff. The pricing for skiing at Snowbowl was less than we experienced at Spring Break in Beckenridge last year but the quality of the skiing was far... More
