The secret is out - if you want a personalized small-boat charter customized to meet your wildlife viewing goals (mine was to see puffins), while in Stika this is it!! Bev Minn and Kent Hall are expert wildlife biologists and they know their way around Alaska (and Hawaii too). We learned from Kent that the St Lazaria wildlife refuge, which... More

I booked a tour with Sitka Secerts to go out to see St Lazaria Island while we were in Alaska on our cruise. We headed out and about 25 minutes into our trip my husband got seasick. He asked Kent to return us back to the dock which he did. We told him we would gladly pay for our aborted... More

We contacted the owners of Sitka Secrets about taking us out to view the fabulous seabird colony on St. Lazaria Island with the challenge that I am prone to seasickness and could only undertake this trip if the conditions were favorable. They were very understanding and penciled us in for the desired date, with the option of cancelling if things... More

We just returned from a southeast Alaska vacation by the Alaska Marine Highway Ferry system. We had no excursions booked in Sitka, but we wanted to visit the St. Lazaria Wildlife Refuge for seabirds nearby. We found that Kent Hall runs a charter/water taxi service called Sitkaa's Secrets and takes people out to the island. He's a very nice fellow... More

We had the best time with Kent out on his boat. He found humpback whales, orcas, sea otters and eagles for us to view. Kent is a super knowledgable guy who happily answered all of our questions. We live in Hawaii and went to Alaska to see our beloved humpback whales and it was such a treat to see them... More

Tthank you for a great trip around St. Lazaria Island, a highllight of our stay in Sitka. Kent was very knowledgable and low-keyed, the perfect captain. Whales came close-up feeding and there were rafts of sea ottters and tufted puffins to admire peacefully from a respectful distance. And the weather was sunny and calm, a perfect morning we will always... More

This was by far the best money we spent on our trip to Alaska. Great views of the wildlife and Kent is a great guide.

I've heard lots of good feedback about Sitka Secrets and wanted to give them a try. I was not disappointed. Captain Kent was great and was very accommodating. I really wanted to see Horned Puffins and he was able to find us a couple. Overall, I was impressed with the value of the trip. The price was reasonable and Kent... More

Arman, Thanks! That's a great pic of horned puffins! We see horned puffins only a handful of times every summer and it's always so special to find birds when we go bird watching! More

We went on a Alaska cruise last summer and the highlight of our trip was our Sitka Secrets expedition. We saw more than our fair share of whales (so exciting!), otters, eagles and other wildlife, and caught enough fish to satisfy us for practically the whole year. Captain Kent was both extremely knowledgable and very efficient in helping us see... More

Again, got off the cruise to visit Sitka and found it to be a beautiful town to visit. I loved the buildings and especially the beautiful church in the middle of town, built of weatherboards and was very reminisent of a Russian one. The town that we saw wasn't big and didn't take us long to walk around the streets,... More
