I just found this park and really enjoyed the many trails to be found there. the views of the city and the open natural environment would get me back again.
I prefer Ike Park's miles of unpaved trails. It would take quite a few visits to cover the same route twice. But for families with strollers, younger kids, pets or just people who prefer an even surface, the paved trails are also a great option. the main paved trail takes you to the tower at the top of the hill,... Nice park yo go for hiking, waking and jogging. You can easily spend an hour there and not even realize it.
I love eisenhower park. The trails are really nice and well maintained. There is a rock climbing wall for the kids. Dogs are allowed and bikes are not. The obsevation tower offers a great view of the city.
I really like Eisenhower Park because it is a little challenging and a pretty long walk. It might be a little over 3 miles and with detours I'm sure you can go a little farther. It feels safe enough to walk alone because there are always other hikers on the trails. The childrens park has a rock climbing wall. It... More
Free to go to this park. Restroom facilities are not the best. The trails are nice, but don't go on the advanced trail If you don't have good shoes on. The views were okay. I guess for this area, they were probably great. Since I'm not from here, I can't compare this to other parks around here. Being your own... More
What a beautifully kept park. We first visited in 1994 with a small child in a stroller. There were trails to accommodate our stroller. As the kids got older we advanced in trail skill requirements. Amazingly, you don't hear the highway close by. It's like a mini vacation.
I love going hiking through this park. It's so relaxing and peaceful. The park has one paved trail that is perfect for first time hikers and families with small children. There are also non paved trails that take to scenic views. There are also soooo many birds to watch as you walk alond the trails. If you follow the Yucca... More
