Actors, directors and special effects wizards of the past and present are all honored here with nearly fifty life-sized realistic recreations of the horror's genre's most memorable characters. Safe for all. During October, the monsters come to life making Count Orlok's Nightmare Gallery Salem's Scariest Haunted house but during the rest of the year, the monsters are quite calm and won't move at all. Only two small complaints. #1“Very short” Would have be nicer if a bit longer… maybe because, the only people inside at the time were my brother and myself. And… we took our time going through. (15-20 min.) And the other small complain.. #2 some things were VERY dark. I know it a scary thing, but still, a bit more light,... More

This museum if full of full size monsters from the movies. The replicas are wonderful. The only downside is that you cannot take pictures (although I understand why). A must for monster and horror movie lovers.

James was very friendly and knowledgeable. The monsters were great and the plagues were full of information.

My partner and I were travelling through Salem, and Count Orlok's was recommended by a local shopkeeper (Remember Salem). As pretty big horror movie fans, we couldn't resist a monster museum, and we walked down to Count Orlok's Nightmare Gallery. As soon as we entered the lobby (without giving any details away), we knew that we had to tour through... More

Awesome wax figures, true to the way they look in the movies. Each has a plaque with a description. The staff was very friendly and chatty. Would certainly recommend stopping here!

Well, Salem overall was a dissapoitment. Such a great story and potential. There's really nothing to do in salem. Anyway.... Count Orlok is a very small (10m in and out) thing. It's very well done. But ... Well... Small.

We came to Salem from Philly to visit a friend this weekend. It was insisted upon that we visit Count Orlock's while we were in town. I have to say being huge horror fans she did not have to do much to get us there. The owner is super cool and The place is AWESOME!!! It is very tastefully done... More

I live in Boston and will gladly make special trips to Salem just to go to Count Orlok's. It is a MUST for horror fans. I only wish it were open on the weekdays during the off-season!
