Great trail, well marked, and very scenic. The elevation at the top is around 5300 feet, so it is quite a climb if you are used to lower altitudes like I am. The view from the top is amazing, all the way to the Great Salt Lake and great mountain views. Definitely worth the hike, just take your time and... More

Short hike up to sweeping views. There is a monument at the top. Easy to get to , it's pretty much right down town behind the Capitol bldg.

Great place to hike to enjoy the Sunset! Not a long hike, but a steep one! Worth hiking all the way up to see the view! I'm glad I brought my camera with me!

There was a lot of snow, and the hike up was a wee bit of a challenge for us oldies, but thr view at the top was great..unfortunately the smog and fog prohibited a photo with great salt lake being visable. Still glad we tromped up there

This is a fantastic little trail to hike. The access is right off the road. The climb to the top is a little steep but not dangerous at all. my Little kids need breaks often but still make it just fine.

Short hike, great view. Hard to imagine it long ago when the pioneers came to the valley without all the houses.

The hike is not too difficult, and doesn't take long. The view of the sunset over the Great Salt Lake was gorgeous. It was fun to see the lights of the city below come on.

The hike is very easy for average shape and less than average shape hikers. It's the best view of the valley for the effort and reflects the Great Salt Lake Base Meridian origin and Utah's pioneer beginnings.

A short car ride from downtown, there is park which offers a birds view over SLC. You will have to hike ur way up until u enjoy some nice air breeze and view. But its really worth the efforts to rest up there.

As you look down on the Salt Lake Valley, you see the fulfillment of Brigham Young's vision of the "desert blossoming like a rose. It is hard to not be amazed by what has been accomplished since a group of people, driven from their homes in IL & MO, found refuge in this great expanse. It is rather humbling -... More
