Its landscaping replicates the natural habitats of the numerous animals, some of which are endangered species. Two panda bears from China delight the crowds, and groups of gorillas separated by moats do their own share of entertaining. « less

We visited the zoo for Mother's Day this year. It's a great way to spend a few hours if you are in the Atlanta area. We live about 30 minutes north in the suburbs and this was our first visit to the zoo. The parking is a nightmare, as Grant Park, the Cyclorama, and the Zoo all share the same... More

Zoo Atlanta was nice to visit and had a large variety of different animals including pandas, gorillas, tigers, lions, gorillas, etc. Some of the enclosures were large but there many that were rather small and were causing the animals to pace. The panda outside area was especially small as was the tiger one. The poor pandas and tigers were pacing... More

I have visited zoos all over the US and the Atlanta Zoo, many years ago, was shamefully terrible. Over the years, the city has invested heavily and brought in great management and talent, to the point that despite its small size, it is a very excellent zoo. Great for kids and families. Consider a City Pass if you are visiting... More

I got a deal on groupon and decided to take advantage. We went during the week day and it was perfect. it wasn't crowded at all. The animals are well kept. It is a place that you would love to take your children.

The Zoo is a great place for families; tons of interesting animals and not ovewhelming in size. Take a stroller or little kids who might get tired when walking, and check the schedle so you don't miss the feedings or elephant shows.

We took our 3 kids ages 10, 8, and 4. They all had a great time. We feed the birds and the giraffes. Our girls couldn't get enough pics, so take plenty of extra batteries : ) They also have very friendly staff : )

There are a ton of exhibits here, including a huge gorilla habitat where the gorillas can come straight up to the glass. The indoor/outdoor panda habitat was great. A lot of the exhibits let you see the animals from different angles in different environments. We spent about 3 hours there in total, but you could easily spend all day.

This is a small older Zoo, the Animals seem well cared for, and the keepers seem attentive to their needs.

This is a family friendly zoo. Many of the viewing areas offer up close views of the animals. We went for the sole purpose of seeing the pandas and we were not disappointed. They have giraffes, lions, tigers, elephants, zebras and gorillas. With a good camera, you can get fantastic pictures. If visiting on a school day near the end... More

This is a great zoo. The animals are active and you can get very close. I also found the selection of animals was impressive. It is pricey for a one time visit. If you live in town though the membership is a great deal. Visit year round for the cost of one visit. Do not bother with the amusements like... More
