We spent a full day touring sites in Iceland the day before and were in need of a day of relaxation. The Blue Lagoon, a geothermal, mineral bah is surreal. Surrounded by lava fields, the lake is huge, not and blue-white. The day we visited, it was spitting rain, windy, cold and foggy. But, once on the pool, it did... More

It started as a bussiness trip but it ended up as an "all natural experience". The blue lagoon is just a small part of this great island's beauty. Although I visited this place in the beginning of July, it was really hard to walk out to get my towel as it was really COLD outside of this water! It is... More

This was an amazing experience I will never forget. I few things bring a bathing cap to cover your hair and apply conditioner to it under it. Your skin gets so smooth after it's weird. Also skip the face mask they sell you as there are masks on the side. Also bring a good chap stick and keep it close... More

I am glad I experienced this place purely because of how unusual place is. The lagoon itself was hot in some places and cool in others and it was difficult to swim around due to all the people. The Blue Lagoon itself is not as warm as I experienced in the hot pots in town of Reykjavik and these hot... More

My fiancé and I had a fantastic time during our layover with Icelandair. The place couldn't be easier to get to from the airport - Reykjavik Excursions offers a coach service which we used and it was perfect. The spa has an almost magical quality to it with the mists rising off of the aquamarine water in the middle of... More

What an amazing day, even if I almost finished with my hair! Although the mud and water is wonderful for your skin (must do the mask in your face), it is horrible for your hair, specially if you have any chemical on it (I did not know that...). The free conditioner in the shower area is very good, and if... More

The Blue Lagoon is fantastic. We read loads of reviews beforehand, so brought our own towels, robes and flipflops so we could spend all our money at the bar. FYI - having a slushie in the Blue Lagoon is an experience not to be missed, no matter your age. :D We took our cameras into the lagoon, without anything over... More

Okay this place is expensive. Approximately 50 American dollars to get in. Sometimes you get what you pay for. This is definitely the case here. You enter and pay for a wrist band that serves as a food and drink tab and locker key. Go in and shower before putting on your bathing suit and entering the water. We swam... More

spent a few hours today at the Blue Lagoon and was incredibly impressed. The experience is amazing, to be able to walk around in the warm (and hot in places) water, walk up to the bar and get a drink then walk over and apply a mud mask followed by a few minutes in the steam bath was a great... This should definitely be on everybody's To-Do list for Iceland. It was everything I was expecting. The water was so warm and the bottom of the lagoon is so soft it feels like it is exfoliating your feet. My one recommendation would be to not do the package that includes lunch at the restaurant. Although the food was beautiful, the... More
