Our trip was full of wildlife from the beginning- puffins, humpbacks, several pods of orca, sea lions, harbor seals, and porpoises. Leif and Brandon were knowledgeable guides. The small group setting was perfect for photography throughout the day. It was more expensive than the large tours but everyone in our group agreed that this was ideal for the opportunity to... More

This was fabulous! Instead of a boat with hundreds of passengers, we had 11. Yet, the boat was big enough that we could get out of the rain. (It did rain.) We had plenty of hot drinks, a nice lunch, knowledgable and friendly crew. What a more personal way to see a glacier calving and whales. We saw both humpbacks... More

Why tour with a crowd of people, fighting to get that perfect photo (been there, done that) when you can go out with these guys and get a personalized tour! There were 6 in our party (4 adults in our family and a lovely young couple on their honeymoon). Capt. Stan was fun, knowledgeable, and a great sport..VERY patient with... More

We went on a one day salmon fishing tour with Captain Tanya, Stan and Ethan. With the rain, the boat ride was a little rough (we eventually had to go back early when 2 people in our party were begging to go back to land) but we came back with 14 salmon! We were all beginning fisherman so Tanya/Stan/Ethan were... More

Captain Leif and Brandon gave us a spectacular day on Resurrection Bay and beyond. It's 45 miles out to the glacier. Along the way we saw humpbacks, orcas, puffins, eagles, otters, sea lions, seals and murres. There were 7 of us on the 43 ft. boat which made it fun. While the weather was foggy and raining we still had... More

Our Captain Tonya had a unique ability to spot wildlife and get is in the right... More

We have never seen so much wildlife on one of these whale watch tours. The boat captain (Tonya?) was very knowledgeable and obviously loved seeing the wildlife herself. I have never seen Puffins in the wild, but you will here (two different kinds). There were whales, sea otters, seals, sea lions, tons of different seabirds, porpoises, and eagles. Then, there was... I've done quite a few boat trips into Resurrection Bay the fjords through out the years and this was my first time taking a boat with Alaska Saltwater Lodge. Theirs was the best so far. First off, there were 11 people in my group and they gave us our own boat. The weather was not the best, but they still... More

This was hands-down everyone's favorite day of our 10-day Alaska trip. We saw so many different things, and the captain seemed to try to find things that people specifically wanted to view. We saw all manner of birds, mountain goats, humpbacks, orcas, sea lions, a harbor seal (from a distance), and had dall porpoise swimming along with us. The food... More
