I had the smelt fish and chips and the wife had the walleye fish and chips. I had never had smelt before and I was very impressed. It was very light and tasty. I then made the mistake of having a piece of the walleye. WOW, I am an avid fish eater and this was some of the best I... More

We sat outside and enjoyed our crab salad croissant. The food was good, but the seagulls were annoying. Suggestion - add umbrellas to the deck so the seagull droppings miss the customers!

YUM!! We stopped here for lunch as our first stop in Grand Marais, both my husband and I had the whitefish "fish and chips" and they were AMAZING! I would go back again anytime, their deli items also looked fresh and delicious. They have a small outdoor dining area on a balcony overlooking the bay too.

Looking for some good local fish while passing through Grand Marais we stopped in at Dockside. Turned out to be a great choice! We had fresh caught whitefish 'fish and chips' and we could not have been more pleased with our meal. We also picked up some citrus wild rice salad and that was an amazing choice. I would have... Had lunch at the dockside fish market, yesterday, recently made famous by a visit from Andrew Zimmern during Sept. 07, the host of Bizarre Foods on the Travel Channel. Had the herring fish and chips and a beer that set me back about $12. It was the last serving of herring available that day and it was caught earlier that... More

Wife and I ate here two nights in a row. Is closer to the RV Park (like right in front) than to the hotels in town but is still maybe only a 10 minute walk. Fresh fried fish (whitefish, herring) daily until they run out. No a/c, but is best to get it boxed and take to eat harborside.

Open May thru December, 7 days a week. A must stop for a local taste of fish. Excellent smoked fish as well as "Fish and Chips" They also have a nice selection of cheeses and Alaskan and Canadian fish too. They are commercial fishermen who catch the fish fresh. Come in the fall for some fresh Lake Superior Caviar. Located... More
