We worked ourselves up for the walk. 188 steps down to the falls, not so bad but then up some more to see the devil's kettel. Then you have to go back up the 188 steps. I will say it wasn't as bad as I thought it would. Very pretty but if you have health problems I would say don't... More

Love the trails at CR Magney State park. $5.00 gets you an all day pass to that and any other state park you decide to travel too. Devil's Kettle hike has spectacular scenery and landscape. The 1 mi. hike is deceiving with over 180 stairs and uphill climbs it gives you a great workout too. We had a blast and... More

One of the best hikes along the North Shore is the one in Judge Magey park to Devil's Kettle waterfall. I have never seen one like it--half of the falls goes down a big hole and who knows where it goes. They've made the hike easier by constucting stairs along the way, but they are killers. We counted 173 in... More

Takes about 5 minutes to get to the falls! Very pretty, especially in the fall. It has a pull off right on the road, and a nice path.

The views on this relatively simple hike are great. The stairsteps at the end are well positioned and worth the effort. Don't miss the Devils Kettle.

We stayed at campsite 4, which is close to others, but very shaded and cool. One campsite over was the showers and they were nice and clean. The Devil's Kettle and falls are magnificent and easy to get to. The trails are great for longer hikes. The park guides and rangers are very friendly and helpful, as are the hosts!

Did a day hike to the waterfalls late in the afternoon and it was gorgeous! The stairs can be a bit intimidating but there are places to sit and rest along the way for those that need it. Best hike of our trip!
