I had the pleasure of seeing two plays in repertory that both take place where "Raisin in the Sun" ends. The first one is :"Clybourne Park", the second:"Beneatha's Place",taking place in Nigeria. Both plays are witty, clever and poweful. They are plays not to be missed.I have seen the first one twice and plan to return to the second closing night.

Went to see Clybourne Park at Center Stage. I had tried to see it in DC before it went to Broadway but the show was sold out. This was a good production in Baltimore--I really enjoyed the thought provoking show and the theater is lovely. There was a talk back after the show in another theater and I could see... More

We have been season ticket holders for almost 20 years. We really enjoy the intimate setting and wonderful shows. In general the plays we have seen have been very enjoyable although there are occasional misses--as there would be with any theater. The theater is conveniently located for dinner or drinks before or after the show and for easy access off... More

This a great place to see a show. Often they are running two shows at once, they have two separate theaters and stages. From old classic plays and to world premiers, musicals, readings, Shakespeare, and nearly any type of staged performance, they have it. And, do it with a professionalism and quality that rivals New York. I've had a subscription... More

Been a subscriber to Center Stage for close to two decades; like any live theater, it's always been a bit of a mixed bag with the particular plays, with the occasional weak one cropping up. However, in general, the acting, the dramaturgy, the sets, and the offerings have been quite good though, and it's been an excellent value overall. This... More

We have season passes to Center Stage, not only are they inexpensive, but the setting is intimate and the performances are passionate. I highly recommend it!

My friend and I went to see The Mountaintop yesterday to celebrate my birthday and it was a great way to begin the birthday celebrations. Our seats were perfect and for the price we paid, better than I expected. The theater was larger than I expected and we were pleasantly surprised with everything from beginning to end. I would definitely... More

My wife and I are always glad that we go to Center Stage. We hold season tickets, get just a little dressed up, and have a night of dinner and a show. Our tickets include parking garage passes right across the street. Great benefit compared to finding a spot on the street. We like to have a local dinner and... More

You cannot go wrong in picking any one of the varied selections offered at this theater in the round. All seats are excellent, direction, acting and stage production are top notch. We saw The Mountain Top this time around. Liked this company so much, I drove in from Phila to take in a performance.
