I've always toured the Hudson on the Zephyr, which is a yacht type boat; however, this time, we missed the last boat and decided to do the Sail on the Clipper City. It was a great choice. You can't go wrong with this sail up the Hudson; we did the 4:30 cruise and the views were spectacular. You can't get... More

Hello! Thanks for your inquiry :) Though the evening sails from 7-9pm are always lovely, if you're interested at all in attending a burlesque show during your trip to NYC, this is the one to see! We tested this sail a few times last year and it was so successful and entertaining that we made it a regular series on... More

When the 3 of us did this boat ride there were only 2 other people on it! It was quite cool really to pretty much have a boat to ourselves! The boat ride was nice and relaxing. Very chilled. There were about 3 guys working on the boat who were all nice people. One of them sounds a little like... More

There is absolutely no better way to spend an afternoon. I booked the day before as a last minute activity to entertain some visitors. We arrived about 30 minutes before departure and were greeted warmly by the Manhattan by Sail staff. We purchased the open bar as well which was definitely worth our money. The crew and staff were friendly,... More

I first thing I did in NYC was stuff a delicious bagel in my face. The second thing I did was get on the Manhattan by Sail. As five of us sat ourselves on the sunny deck and began drinking prosecco I couldn't help wondering what we could do to possibly top this opening event to my first time inthe... More

Booked a 7:00 evening cruise. Arrived 45 minutes before departure. At 7:15 we asked the crew when we were leaving. We were told the cruise had been cancelled due to weather- it was a sunny evening! We went to the ticket booth and were told that we would receive a refund. We were given a receipt that showed the transaction... More

We took the Sunset Sail, which was very nice. The boat is comfortable (if you are able to get one of the seats with a back), and there is a bar onboard for your convenience. The ship sails along the shore of Lower Manhattan, out to Liberty Island, to the mouth of the Hudson River, and back to its dock... More

Four of us took the 4:30PM sailing aboard the Clipper City. This was a 90 minute "sail" from Pier 17 near Fulton and South, East of Battery Park. The trip itself goes past the Lower Manhattan Heliport and the South (Staten Island) Ferry Building, proceeds between Ellis and Governor's Islands, and reaches its return point at Liberty Island. From there... More

I'm a local and my friend & I decided to go on the Shearwater's Sunset Sail. It was awesome! The ship itself is gorgeous - I've always wanted to get on a boat like that and now I have. :) The staff were friendly and approachable but not invasive. My friend & I mostly kept to ourselves on the bow... More

I went out on the Shearwater on the Sunset Sail, and couldn't have had a more enjoyable time. I have lived in the city for a while and was looking to have a unique, relaxing experience - anyone who lives here knows that is hard to come by these days. I also work for the W New York Downtown and... More
