Amazing museum! If you're into any/all of planes, ships, guns, wars/world history, space exploration, amusing history facts, don't miss it! It's super fun to see the insides of these air and sea crafts (Growler, Intrepid, Concord). I just wish I could have done this when I was a kid! Special props to the Concord tour, the guide (John) is very... More

To start off with, the shuttle exhibit isn't open yet. You can still get pics of the back and part of it's side, while we were there. The museum is large and really neat to see a carrier and it's size. The adjacent sub is really neat to see too and an eye opening experience. The exhibits were neat to... More

The Intrepid Air and Space Museum is definitely worth a visit! My only tip is to go with someone. There are a few flight simulators which require 2 people. The price is on the expensive side, but it’s no more expensive than any of the other Midtown/Times Square attractions. It gets costlier if you chose to go on some of... More

Really enjoyed my visit and would return tomorrow if I could. Wisely left my wife to her retail therapy and enjoyed a wet afternoon touring this multi exhibit museum. Firstly went on a guided tour of the Cold War submarine, amazing and informative. Then off to explore the Aircraft Carrier, lots of interactive fun and audio visual presentations with a... More

I visited this museum with some friends using our "New York Pass" for admission. There is so much to see. You could spend hours checking out the planes on the flight deck and the displays/artifacts inside the ship. The space shuttle was off limits but we caught a glimpse of the Concorde. My favorite part was a walk through the... More

Excellent museumThe guided tours are a bit expensive but they will give you the answers you are looking for. There is also a possibility that you will gain access to areas which are usually off limits for tourists. In our case we got to sit in one of the helicopters and ride the aircraft lift on the outside of the... More

A great mix of things to look at and more engaging experiences. You can't go into either the space shuttle or Concorde (due to Sandy damage, I think) but you can see both from the outside. You can get a feel for how sailors would have lived on both the Intrepid and a submarine moored next door. A multimedia show... More

Having seen this display many times as we have arrived in New York by ship, we decided it was high time we paid a proper visit. An added attraction was the tantalising glimpse of a Space Shuttle. There were no queues, and the entrance ticket was modestly priced. The vast bulk of the aircraft carrier Intrepid looms over the whole... More

We visited and was a little disappointed, I thought it was quite expensive to get in and a lot of the ship was closed off. Also we could not see the space shuttle as the display was under renovation. Some of the visual displays were good, however I would have expected to see some more aircraft from ww2 era there.
