Just go, it's amazing. You won't believe how big it really is until you see it. It's incredible how many things take place there everyday. School kids eating lunch, basketball, bikes, running, boats...the list is endless. You really must go to this beautiful NY icon.

I am not sure there is much more to say about Central park that has been said already. It is a must see in NY city. My only advice is, to avoid all that crowd and touristy money making, skip the front entrance on the 5th ave, and take either one of the side entrances of go to the 72nd,...

Central Park is amazing. It's worth the trip to New York to see Central Park alone! I went for several runs through Central Park, and it was amazing.

Walked to the lake and hired a boat ($12 for an hour plus $20 returnable deposit - bargain!). The weather was beautiful so perfect for this, lots of fun, great views and a really great experience.

Saw every inch of central park, loved the ponds, the people walking & riding bikes, people playing frisbee, feeding the ducks, laying on rocks & reading books. Bike riders in bike lanes. Felt very safe the entire day. Super clean area.

We happened to go on a really sunny week, can do sooooo much...lie out in the sun, row boats, cycles, get taken around on horse and cart and generally ambling around.

Best views of all Manhattan -365 degree - no glass or grilles on the uppermost level. Less queuing than the Empire State as you are given a timed entry, and great views up to Central Park

We walked around the park in a beautifully sunny April day and it was the perfect antidote to the crazy chaos of New Yorjk. A real must when in the Big Apple.

Loved the peace in Central Park! Although we heard fire trucks and helicopters our entire stay in Central Park, we enjoyed being there.
