Definitely a stop on the agenda for anyone who remotely likes art. Tons of well known master pieces that you can enjoy.

One needs a year to visit as it is so vast! You need the supplied map to find your way around. So very much to see. The American Wing is worth a visit alone, you will want to return time and again.

I could spend weeks in this place and not finish seeing everything. This is probably one of the best and biggest art collections in the world. Entry is by donation and $25 is the standard amount they will charge you, but you're allowed to pay anything you like. $25 per entry would be a bit much if you wanted to... More

Whether you live in NYC or are just visiting, you really must make time for this extraordinary museum. But don't try to pack in too many hours at one time or you'll be too overwhelmed to enjoy it. For a single visit, you may want to start with one of the special exhibitions the museum is offering and then concentrate... More

Everything about this location is amazing. As soon as you walk in your breath is taken away by the architecture while the exhibits from impressionism to pop-art really give you a feel for the artists and times they lived in.

Make sure you have a day or two to spend at the Met. Take the time and get with a museum interpreter so you understand more of what is on display. It was breathtaking! We did not have enough time scheduled to take it all in. From Egypt to North America and everywhere in between it was fascinating. I personally... More

I loved this museum! It's my favorite museum in NY! The Egyptian part surprised me, even after seeing the louvre!

Stunning displays and live chamber music to enjoy a drink or a bite. Imagine that! Incredibly different art in various galleries. The Impresionists were my favorite!

This was my 3rd visit and I always choose a few exhibits to avoid being overwhelmed. This time the Photographs from the Civil War was on exhibit and was outstanding. My husband and I spent 5 weeks touring Civil War battlefields in 2003 and I still saw new photographs and new information at this exhibit.
