What a great experience! Small but very well designed exhibit space with plentiful windows around the building to view birds at the well-stocked feeders. On the extensive grounds, there are multiple paths to choose from. It was a treat to view so many different areas, salt marsh, forest, seashore at one attraction. There are benches at all the scenic points.... More

Walking at the sanctuary and enjoying the scenery and birds is such a treat. The trails are fun and there are spots to sit and enjoy which can't be beat. I actually hope that not too many people discover the Sanctuary because I want to enjoy it all for myself!

This is one of those places where one could walk every day, and never get tired of it. I have an autumn view over the marsh as the screensaver on my computer. Their many trips and excursions are also well worth trying out.

A photographers paradise, with excellent views of birds, wildlife and Cape Cod Bay. A unique perspective.

The Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, located just off Route 6, South of Wellfleet is well worth a visit (entry is $5 for non-member adults, $3 for non-member children, open 8.30 am to 5 pm though the trails are open longer). You can easily spend a day here, wandering the 8 km of trails (through various habitats from salt marshes to... More

A very interesting, beautiful and education place. We went to one talk on sea turtles and one birding tour, both terrific. The people are very helpful. If you like birds or just want a walk in a beautiful natural setting, this is a great place.

We spent a few hours here one morning and loved this place. There are 2 primary trails, very nice and easy strolls along ponds, woodlands, fields. Many birds around, at the feeders and the environs. Bring your binoculars! There is a nice visitor center with exhibits and a shop. There is a small fee to get in, $5 I think?
