Little Italy has some great little places to visit and dine. Do not miss the Saturday Market. We enjoyed the fresh juices and stopped and slurped down some raw oysters while browsing the booths. We left armed to the teeth with baskets of the largest juiciest strawberries on the planet. All of the produce was spectacular. There was live music... More

I actually found this place here on TripAdvisor and it was so much fun! We went to the farmer's market on Saturday and at some spots it was crowded, parking was a little hard, but other than that it was a great time! I recommend the Mona Lisa for dinner! It was a nice walk and we got to sample... More

We stumbled upon this farmers market while in San Diego on vacation. Great find! It's a great mix of fresh prepared foods, veggies and crafts. Parking is tough. We ended up in a pay lot at the top of the market. It was only $5 tho... This is a great way to spend an hour or so on Saturday while... More

It's a street with a lot of great italian restaurants. You can eat amazing italian food, mostly made by italians, and drink great wines for a nice price.

Just a short jaunt from our hotel, we spent several evenings in this district eating, strolling and enjoying the general atmosphere. Everyone has a dog and everything is dog friendly. Great restaurants and shops and a nice breeze off the water make this a perfect place to spend an evening or two. Short block from the Trolley stop.

If you have ever been to little Italy in New York City, San Diego's little Italy may be a disappointment. It is only a few blocks (if that) and consists of the usual suspects (e.g., restaurants, grocers). There are also some "intruder" Italian restaurants that are not "authentic" Italian (whatever that means since no Italian restaurant I have eaten at... More

The difference? In New York, Little Italy is an Italian neighborhood with wonderful Italian restaurants. In San Diego, Little Italy is an area where restaurantuers decided to open a number of restaurants (not all of them Italian). Mediocre food at best. Would not go back.

It's a nice place to visit here in San Diego, simple, lots of restaurants, amazing architeture and relatively cheap. Tip: Try to get in inside the restaurants, some of them have a small Italy square inside, it's funny and different. I didn't give it a Five Star because it's quite simple, not that thing if you lose you will regret... More
