If you're a fan of Thomas Wolf this house worth the visit. The guide was amusing and the house has a lot of history in it.

I loved Thomas Wolfe's books. You can buy them at this site, but they are wayyyyyy overpriced. There is a small exhibit of rooms and artifacts from his life that is worth a look, and I'd suggest budgetting 20 minutes in all. I skipped paying for a tour of his family's boardinghouse. If you know the work, this is a must-see. If you like literary history, this is worthwhile as well. Wolfe had a very unusual childhood and you get a firm sense of it from the tour of the house.

I was not that familiar with Thomas Wolfe, the author, but my wife was. We thoroughly enjoyed the museum and thought the house tour was just grand. Very informative and knowledgeable tour guide! We loved that so many of the objects in the house were original. One cannot beat it for $5 each. Even has free parking outside of museum.
