Wow. The scale of this home is unreal. from the drive into the estate on the ascent rd you can see the genius of Olmsted. The home is amazing. I highly recommend the architect tour.

My husband and I went away for a long weekend. We wanted something where there wouldn't be a lot of kids. There were some children - but not many and they were well supervised. We wanted some history and walking into this place was like stepping back in time. This place was great!
We recently returned to the Biltmore Estate but this time we spent 17 dollars extra and went on the guided butler's tour after the standard tour. Most definitely worth the money! One of the more interesting things we did all week. Highly recommend.
This was the first time in several years we visited the Biltmore. We visited on a Tuesday. Shuttle bus was nice, but a shelter is needed to shield you from the elements while you wait for pick up in front of house. Too many people going through at one time and the ones with the hand held audio tended to...

This was a fantastic tour. Your ticket includes a self paced tour of the house, a self-paced walk through the gardens and a visit to the winery and the exhibits there. Extras worth getting include the audio tour for the house tour and the Architectural tour (which includes a visit to the roof). We also enjoyed the bistro at the...

If you are visiting Asheville, this gem should not be missed. We rented the audio tour, which was informative, but we felt it to be helpful to go through a second time without the audio. There is so much to see, it is easy to miss key items. The furniture alone is worth seeing. Two days are essential to see...

Had a lovely day trip that started with a self-guided audio tour of the interior of the Biltmore House - absolutely fantastic. This audio tour was timed perfectly and very informative. The flower gardens and greenhouses were grand also. We ate at The Stable which had a fantastic menu, great service and a nice atmosphere. Shopped a little - very...

We came to North Carolina for two nights at the end of June 2013, so we could spend a whole day at biltmore. I had heard all about this place the last time I was visiting South Carolina and just had to see it. We booked up for an audio tour, which was absolutely worth it! The commentary was just...

Wow! We just visited the Smoky Mountains of TN and took a day trip over to Biltmore Estate. We had planned this visit ahead of time and ordered our tickets in advance which allowed us to save some money which is always a blessing :o) Along with our tour (which we opted to take without the audio and I think...

We went to visit the estate the other day as I have never been. We only did the tour of the house but what a great time I had. It was so awesome to step back into history with the Vanderbilt family and hear about their days. I was so impressed with how much this family did for the people...
