At Blazing Saddles Bike Rentals and Tours we want our guests to come away from a day on our bikes feeling as if they have just experienced the very best that our city has to offer. Whether it is a local resident enjoying our state of the art equipment or a visitor seeing the city for the first time, we encourage our riders to enjoy the bike friendly environment of San Francisco. Blazing Saddles was one of the first in the industry to develop a proprietary map of suggested routes and points of interest, and we have been a major pioneer in promoting cycling through the Presidio National Park, over the Golden Gate Bridge and into Sausalito and Tiburon. All of our seven locations in San Francisco have easy access to a car-free bike path that winds around the city by the bay. We have the largest fleet of bikes in San Francisco, including state of the art electric bikes, tandems and kids’ bikes. We also have high performance road and mountain bikes for those who want to explore Golden Gate National Recreation Area and Mt. Tamalpais State Park. We rent bikes 365 days a year and we open at 8am every day. For those that want something more we offer a daily tour with a friendly and knowledgeable guide. No reservations necessary, so come on down when you’re ready to Bike the Bridge! « less

Blazing Saddles have places everywhere and their young staff are very enthusiastic. I haven't ridden for years but my partner is keen, so we decided to bike across to Sausalito. Because I'm unfit, I decided to rent an electric bike which they assured me would have charge for up to 40 miles. Based on this, we did a longer ride,... More

My wife and I took our 2 pre-teen children (10 and 8 years old) on this guided tour. We found the 1st leg across the GG bridge to Sausalito to be fascinating. The pace was just fine, and the 3 hills weren't too tough to climb, although my kids did have to walk up portions of them. Riding across the... More

We pre-booked the basic $36 dollar bikes and paid for the insurance on arrival. It was amazing, neither me or my fiancé are bikers and the ride was mostly easy and appreciated the challenging hills we faced and needed to walk twice. Amazing scenery, even though they give you a map you really can't get lost. The bikes were perfect... More

We rented bikes from Blazing Saddles (Hyde St location in San Francisco) in June 2013. Total cost ended up being $54 for a three-hour rental for two bikes to ride from Fisherman's Wharf to Golden Gate Bridge and back. The map and route explanation were reasonably good although there were some things that could have been a little more detailed... More

We did the self guided tour from the Mason location to Alamo Square, Golden Gate Park, Golden Gate Bridge, then Sausalito. Finally, we took the ferry back to Fisherman Wharf. It was fun and thrilling. The ride on the Bridge was amazing. We rent the electric bike. It was well worth it. It saved us going up the hills. I... More

We rented bikes from the fun folks at Blazing Saddles and did the ride thru scenic Fisherman's Wharf & over the Golden Gate Bridge. It was great! The bikes were easy to ride, the directions were good & the ferry ride back was perfect ...... after lunch and a beer in Sausalito! It was a nice ride ..... Thumbs up... More

If you're unfamiliar with the San Francisco/Bay Area, I highly recommend getting the tour guide package. Our tour guide, Sam, was amazing on our journey. He gave us some interesting facts about the history and streets of SF. We stopped a lot along the way to take pictures, and Sam was more than happy to help us take the pictures.... More

One of the best parts about the journey across the bridge is the abundance of fantastic photo opportunities, and it sounds like you really took advantage of this. We are glad to hear you enjoyed Sam as a guide and that you learned some interesting facts about San Francisco's history along the way. For future reference, a deposit fee is... More

Overall, our experience was good. The map and directions on the bike were poor at best. We tried to follow them and ended up having to ask a Police man in Sausalito how to get to Old Mill Park. We are a family of athletes, so the ride was not bad, but if you are not in decent shape, don't... More

Glad to hear your experience was good overall and that your late return was a breeze. The late return system is designed to allow bikers to maximize their rental and have as much fun as possible! However, we do apologize that you had a hard time with our map directions. We are constantly trying to balance the verbal explanation of... More

I had one of the worst customer service experiences with this company. The staff at the 433 Mason Street store were all smiles and politeness when it came to renting me a bike but when the bike broke, the support was mediocre and the follow up was appalling. Cycling up a reasonably steep hill, the back derailleur broke as I... More

As you can see from the majority of our reviews, it is always our main priority to create an experience that will be the highlight of our customers' San Francisco experience. We are truly sorry to hear you felt this was not the case. All of our customers are required to do a test-drive before leaving the premises to ensure... More
