A trip to Alcatraz is well worth seeing, (but you must book in advance at least 2 months), catch the Alcatraz ferry over to The Rock and from there you can discover the island that was made famous, do an audio tour, it's amazing, explains so much that I didn't know.

We liked everything about this tour. We went at night as that was recommended on trip advisor. I dont know if that was any better, but it did free up more time for sightseeing during the day. You just can't go to sanfrancisco without going here.

One of the iconic things to see in San Fran and it did not disappoint - the only thing I would do different is not arrange a afternoon sightseeing tour as well as it meant I did not have as much time as I would have liked on the island.

I had the best time visiting here. I had no clue about the history of this place. It was eerie and exciting at the same time. It felt like I was there when it originally existed. It was a great view to look back at San Francisco from the island. I'm really happy that I went.
