If you want to see Maui's ocean life, you can go snorkeling or diving and take your chances with the weather. Or you can go to the Maui Ocean Center. You will see far more marine life here than you will in 100 snorkeling tours, however. There are turtles, sharks, rays, and many other types of fish and animals of...

Our family always includes educational activities during our trips, and we found the Maui Ocean Center to be an enjoyable place to visit during our recent trip to the island. The Center features local marine life via displays and aquaria that are well-designed and kid-friendly. Nicely put together aquarium with lots to see plus it didn't feel like Sea World! We liked the small aquarium displays as well as the huge walk-through shark tank full of sharks, rays and many variety of fishes.
While vacationing in Maui it was raining the first few days during our stay; so we had decided to do something fun indoors. We love seeing the sea life in Hawaii and this aquarium is definitely a must see for your vacation in Maui.
We had purchased our tickets in advanced to receive a discount if you bought them the...

This gives a great overview of the sea life of the area, but the $25 admission price is quite steep for what you get. If you have a AAA membership or are military you can get a discount. There is a plexi sea tunnel that lets you walk through while manta rays and other fish glide over your head. Be...

We have been to many aquariums, and this one is awesome. We did the extra flippers and fins behind the scenes tour. So worth it! We got to see and hear about the coral restorations that are going on, touch baby sea turtles, feed the sharks, etc....
Gift shop has lots of fun unique things as well. This was one...
