Our group played on 4/21/13 and almost everyone could not believe the greens condition that day. One said " It was like putting in a pasture." Another said "he needed a sledge hammer and still might be short." This is a great challenging course and the layout is great, BUT the maintenence of this course has really fallen off. The... More

The Dunes at Maui Lani is one of the best values for good golf courses on Maui. My wife and I have been playing The Dunes for several years and weach year they have improved the course and it is now a good challenge,

This is a wonderful course for the money the back nine is more difficult so bring lots of balls. With golf being so expensive on maui i would definitely go here the prices are reasonable.

Played Maui Lani today. A nice track, altho not on the ocean, still plenty of scenery from the west Maui mountains to entertain you. Course can play tough, especially when the wind is blowing...which it was today. From the blues it plays to a 133 slope. Back nine is definitely tougher than the front. Course was in good shape except... More

Course is lots of fun. Staff at the course is very courteous and nice. Cafe O'Le manages the restaurant at the course. Great food! I personally think that there are too many sand traps but then it s called the Dunes. Enjoy!

This is one hard golf course for the better player. It's short (under 6900 yds) from tips but just a bear. From the forward tees it gets easier and fairer. Was designed by a guy named Robin Nelson who really used the terrain well. All old sand dunes. Highly recommend.

Overpriced. Busy. Course was not in good shape. Staff did not seem interested in assisting. Rental golf clubs had grips that needed changing a long time ago.

I don't know anything about golf, but my husband and I were celebrating our 25 anniversary in Maui, and he wanted to golf, he paid $154.00, I thought that was way too much.

The Dunes is a great golf course! It's layout provides a wide range of challenges, none of which are insurmountable for the average golfer. We played it twice during our stay and were sorely tempted to try it a third time but ran out of time. The course personnel were professional and helpful. The restaurant terrace was a nice place... The Dunes at Maui Lani is a nice neighborhood golf course near Kahului. It has a few challenging holes and a few that could do with some redesign, but overall it is an enjoyable day. Try and get out early to avoid the crowds and you will also miss the winds which can come up from mid morning on. They... More
