The course wasn't very busy when I played in the early morning. Pro shop staff were friendly and helpful. Course is fairly wide open so accuracy on most holes not important.
This course gets a bad rap on yelp. It has great staff, super friendly, no arrogance and the course is tough! The driving range needs some work but the course is in good shape and will kick your butt if you don't know how to play the prevailing winds. Robert Treat Jones Jr course that plays fun and somewhat forgiving. The greens are true and fast even with the rain. The course is always in pristine condition. It doesn't play on the ocean and has the beginnings of being a city course with housing all around it but it does have some of the best history a course can... More
Played 18 Tuesday morning Sept. 3. Teed off at 8:30 after hitting some range balls and putting on the practice green. Folks were very nice and set me up with a nice set of Callaway's and a nice small bag with three new Callaway balls. The driving range is quite functional but in sad shape. The tee area was ok,... Great course on my favorite island. Must see and play if you're in the area. Loved the views and the facilities.
We didn't golf, but dropped in for a lunch and a breakfast on this visit. Having been here before, we loved the view of the course, mountains and ocean from the outdoor restaurant. When the tradewinds are gently blowing, it's dreamy here. But, the food wasn't too good this time around. Breakfast was particularly weak...food quality down a bit.
Greens rolled true and fast. Fairways in best condition in some time. Good layout with some very challenging par three's. Staff was friendly and welcoming! Joe's a good place for breakfast or pupu's.
