The list of items needing some TLC is long. Mildew (due to poor ventilation in the changing rooms). Broken showers, buckets under sinks, broken concrete....
Being the fair sort of person I am, I visited the TePee Pools and Spa in Thermopolis WY and wrote up a review, so when we decided we needed some warm water on a chilly day we opted for the Star Plunge. My husband and grown daughter were also along. It was built in the 1800s and there are some... More
Kids will love this place. Although it is a bit pricey. There is a huge water slide, that will absolutely wear you out - climbing up to it's entrance. But, again it is for the kids, and they'll tolerate the climb all day long. Many pools to choose from that range from cool to HOT, HOT, HOT. The food prices... More
Lovely warm and some very hot water to lounge and swim in. Very relaxing and soothing. The buildings were tired and in need of some work when we went. Still worth a visit. It was a cold day when we were there, but the water was warm!
We've been coming to this pool for years and years. Indoor pool, outdoor pool, fun water slide, giant hot tub, steam room, girls and boys dressing/locker rooms, lots of sitting areas, snack bar, towel rental...you name it, they have it.
We spent a full day here with our four kids, 18, 18, 14 and 6. Everyone had a blast! The three water slides were a big hit with the kids of all ages. The water was a nice temperature and even though it was in the upper 90's outside, we still enjoyed the warm water. Reading some of the other... More
Grumpy, grumpy lifeguards! Nice counter girl. Next time think we'll try the Teepee next door. Smell was so strong it made our son sick. Might want to check before you head in.
This facility is really not worth your money. It is very old and run down and very poorly maintained. De inside slide is downright dangerous! It ends in a sort of concrete slab, with all loose concrete gravel which ruins your bathing suit and your skin (my husband had a big scratch on his back). The outside slide is kind... More
We laugh at the less than good reviews for the Star Plunge. Come on folks, this place is over a hundred years old! Yes, it's funky, but that's the charm. Complaints such as: it's too expensive! Really? Visit other mineral pools scattered around the US and get back to me. It smells! Really? What natural hot spring doesn't? Rude employees?... More
We love, love, love!!!!! Beautiful facilities and very clean/hygienic!!! The indoor pool area is great , as is the outdoor pool - slides are entertaining for the kids. A great value for an entire day's entertainment - relaxing and fun - I have nothing but the best things to report! A Thermopolis must!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
