Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great sports teams and programs for all ages. One important program they offer is CaPP program which allows high school age students to take advanced college credits at a much reduced price. Check it out! It IS a college.....so you can contact or find them online for more info!

UW-Oshkosh is a much underrated university. It's situated in a marvelous location, right in the heart of a medium sized city full of good-natured folks, the city also has a lot of great restaurant options and also has a pro basketball team. UW-Oshkosh tends to have many classes with full professors teaching classes that aren't overloaded with students. Sure, UW-Osh does have pit classes like any other university, but compared to some of the giant "Big Ten" schools, UW-Osh seems to have more classes at reasonable sizes taught by full profs. For a Milwaukee/Wauk area kid, UW-Oshk is arguably the second best college choice a student can make: it's not a big commuter school like UW-Milw, and it's far enough away from home where the student is actually living totally away from home and experiencing true college life. UW-LaC and UW-Eau are too far away and UW-Osh is in a better city than UW-StevPt, and UW-Whitew is too close to home...As stated, UW-Osh is probably second to UW-Mad for the Milw/Wauk area student.

UWO is a great university. It has a variety of majors and graduate degrees! I highly recommend the Masters in Public Administration! It is a good fit for anyone in public service. They offer both on campus and online degrees!

We managed to get a four person suite at University of Wisconsin Oshkosh (UWOSH) for the 2018 airshow, which meant booking online on June 30 2017 (more than a year prior to, due to popularity). The suites are now 6 years old but look like new, air conditioned and fitted with either 4 x single bedrooms or 2 x twin share bedrooms. The suite was more than we were expecting, very large and airy, plenty of sunlight through the floor to ceiling windows, a huge kitchen, 2 bathrooms with a WC, and a separate shower room. I've attached lots of photos to show exactly what you get for your money.
If you're staying here, UWOSH provides bed linen and a blanket for each bed, pillow, 7 rolls of toilet paper for each bathroom, soap (hand wash lotion, not a bar of soap) and two bathtowels per bed. You need to bring in everything else if you're planning not to eat at Blackhawk Commons for breakfast or dinners: kitchen utensils, pots and pans, crockery and cutlery, another blanket, clothes hangers, bars of soap. Handy hint: Reeve Student Union convenience store was open Mon to Fri during the airshow week, and it has soap, paper plates/bowls, milk, sandwiches, juice and bottled water so it's a good idea to stock up at the store.
Horizon's laundry is in the basement, stocked with commercial use Maytag washers and dryers. These were excellent machines, taking $1.25 in quarters for a 34 minute wash cycle, and $1.25 again in quarters for a 60 min drying cycle. Laundering clothes was too easy! Laundry powder is sold at the Reeve store.
Between the Reeve convenience store and the nearby Jade Dragon restaurant, we didn't have to eat at Blackhawk Commons.

In July 2018 I stayed in the Fletcher dormitory, while attending the AirVenture air show at the Oshkosh airport. It was comfortable, with air conditioning, and the Fletcher building was recently renovated. See my photo of the dorm room. The city provides an express bus service between the campus center and Airventure, which is extremely convenient. There's a dining hall nearby, for breakfast, where the quality of the food was only slightly better than at a discount motel but the camaraderie with other pilots was excellent.

If you haven't detoured by the UW Oshkosh campus in a few years, stop by and see the growth and improvements. With recent attention to grounds and signage and additional new buildings and major renovations, the physical campus is worth a tour. If you're in town, check out events at the University. Reasonably priced high quality plays and concerts, galleries with changing shows, and endless top notch Division III athletic events; there is always something going on at UW Oshkosh and visitors are welcomed. Outsiders can also eat on campus at the newly renovated Reeve Union. On the same block as the Oshkosh Museum and Paine Art Center, stroll down Algoma Boulevard and take it all in.

About 14,000 students call UW-Oshkosh home but in many ways its a great place to take a stroll on the weekend and stop in and grab a bite to eat. Many shade trees give the campus an almost park-like setting. You'll find many friendly students and staff to help you if you have a question or need for directions.
