We visited on Saturday, June 8, 2013 in the early afternoon. Easy on-street parking. The vast expanse of the grass, fountains, trees and of course the Mississippi River flowing by was so relaxing and refreshing on a pleasant June day.

how could you dislike this space so close to the town. Felt safe and fine for families. Great for an after dinner stroll.
This park is located where three rivers (Black, La Crosse, and Mississippi) converge. Lots of park benches along the shore, where you can enjoy the view and feed the ducks and other birds that gather there for handouts. There is an immense sculpture of an eagle in the park that makes the trip worthwhile all by itself.
Drive down any of the downtown La Crosse streets to the west and you will end up at or very near Riverside Park. This park was there when I was a child back in the 1940's and it is more beautiful now than ever. Drive slowly around the circuit. Then stop, park and take a few minutes to walk to...

This downtown riverside park is easy to find, peaceful and full of activity. Obviously the centerpiece of LaCrosse, it is clean, safe and nicely landscaped. Used by nearby hotel and restaurant patrons and local business employees, it is constantly filled with activity.

There are usually people in the park playing frisbee, walking dogs, reading books, and waiting for rides on the local paddle wheeler. The ducks can be a little messy on the sidewalk, but hey it's...

Sidewalks and statues and the river. What more can you ask? It's a beautiful park to spend an hour or two right near downtown.
I have visited LaCrosse on three occasions, and always end up at this park. It has something for everyone. There is a nice walking trail along the riverfront, and many benches to sit and relax. It is fun to sit and watch the boats and barges go by. The area is clean, and it has that nice atmosphere of a...

Could see a lot of things from the parak and the park was big and clean. There are a great deal of events that take place there. Has a running fountain to drink from.
You can sit and watch barges go by or just watch the ducks. During the summer months there is always something going on. Check with the Vistors & Convention Center website.
