The restaurants are rude and the food is sub par. The shops are cute, but they could be so much nicer and have better customer service.
We visited in summer. It seemed quieter in summer but still it was very nice. The village is small and very beautiful, with beautiful buildings. Good food and variety of hotels. Lot of adventure sports are available. We went during extended weekend , so there were recreational activities in the village.
We have visited Snowshoe in the Winter for skiing and snowboarding and loved the village. It was nice to see it open year around and all the mountain bikers enjoy the terrain in the summer!
Only one of the restaurants is open on Monday and Tuesday, the majority of them don't open until at least Wednesday and some not until Thursday. The shops are targeted toward skiers. There were several people enjoying the zip lines.
There a number of high-end stores here that charge WAY more than they should. The restaurants start a waiting list for dinner at 5 or earlier. Forget about ever getting a table if you are not seated by 5. This place is way over rated.
Lots of places to eat and shop - beautiful scenery - really worthwhile staying here! Desserts at Old Spruce are devine and love Foxfire Grill and Sunset Cantina - really nice!
