Loved the trek to the beach but saw alot of people with grandparents heading back-unless Grandma is surefooted and can go up and down steep gnarly log steps with no problem, we went in March and it was muddy but doable, and I am no athlete, but think twice before taking the very young or old-unless you plan to carry... This is 100% worth the drive to La Push and the hike to the beach. If you are an outdoor person or love hiking, beaches, woods or just nature in general, you MUST take a trip here!

Nice scenic trail to the coastal beach just west of Forks WA, located at LaPush. The trail is fun with its many turns and elevation changes with different forms of stairs/obstacles to get you to the sand. Once on the beach you can see part of Washington's famous coastline for its Sea-Stacks. But to touch the sand you will have... More

This is a great short hike with some muddy spots. You emerge finally to the beach which is spectacular at sunrise and sunset. If you get low tide, its even more magnificent

Great place to hike and see the Olympic coast. Get a copy of a tide table before hiking to the end, or around any points. Tide can move in quick if not careful!

On one of the days we spent in Olympic National Park we visited the Hoh Rain Forest in the morning as it was cloudy and a little drizzly. Later in the day it was clearing up and the sun came out. So, we decided to drive to the La Push area after dinner and hike the Second Beach Trail. It's... More

This was an incredible beach and I truly believe the hike made the experience. We hiked through the trees in flip flops and caring a 1 year old. It was gorgeous and we were all entertained. The mud on the steps towards the end was a challenge, but we overcame. The beach is stunning. Absolutely amazing. The driftwood is incredible.... More

The title says it all! It is a beautiful place to see. The "privy" was unsuitable for going to bathroom. It was a shed with an area to squat! We took to the bushes instead! We brought our stroller - huge mistake!! We did not know there would be tiered steps almost all the way down (and all the way... More

I walked it at sunset and the fog gave it a total different atmosphere, but it's definitely worth the effort.
