Don't wait until Christmas to be amazed by the hidden gem in Bellevue. The gardens are well maintained, fascinating, and educational. Thanks to all the volunteers who make this place exceptional.

We strolled through this park that we barely even knew about. It was a nice day in Seattle and this is only about 20 minutes from downtown Seattle and it is in downtown Bellevue. Some of the trails make you feel like you are truly out in the woods on a camping trip. Next time we'll take picnic supplies.

The gardens are filled with sculptures made out of tiny Christmas lights--it is like a fairy land. It is our annual place to visit --- to ooh and aah.

This is a must see. I wanted to stay longer but my companions wanted to see other sites. Be sure and walk through the entire garden, you won't be disappointed.

The east side has become pretty chaotic over the last 10 years. Amid the hustle and bustle is the BBG. Most of the year it has gorgeous blooms, but even more beautiful, I think, is the plethora of trees from all over that makes it so unique. The light displays at holiday time are wonderful!

I went here for the Christmas light show that they do every year. Considering how little it costs to get in, it really is quite impressive. I will definitely try and make it during the summer months to see everything in bloom!

Great place in the spring and fall, pretty good any time. There are a variety of trails available, from short to medium, all of them moderately flat except for a few stairs if you take a shortcut. Good for exercise, meditation, or just to go sit in the Japanese Garden part.

This little jewel continues to blossom in the heart of Bellevue. The combination of city funding and volunteer labor produces wonderful plantings, several kinds of gardens (including alpine and Asian) and lovely wooded trails.

Although the Bellevue Botanical Gardens are small and humble when compared to something like the Bronx Botanical Garden, this attraction is definitely a must-see for those visiting Bellevue. Especially great times for a visit are at the height of flower-blooming season, and for the Garden D'Lights event in Nov/Dec when they create a magical fantasy garden out of thousands of... More
