We sailed in to Culebrita on our chartered sailboat from SailCaribe late in the afternoon and anchored for the night. We swam and snorkeled and enjoyed seeing some turtles. The beach was pristine and the sunset marvelous.

Originally planned to stay overnight on Culebra but left open the day trip option which was super easy from San Juan. Plus was not impressed with any of the accommodation on the island (for the money and quality, head back to San Juan or one of the numerous resorts in between). We rented a car for our 3 day trip... Make ferry reservations and plan on spending more than one day exploring this small island. The remote beaches are great for sunning, and Flanenco Beach is great for swimming.

We chose to be dropped off at the entry of the island (which had the best snorkeling), & walked across... More
