This amazing place is really wonderful its like you are in a fairy tale the Trulli are like the houses of smurfs. A visit to the Trulli museum is interesting to know better how people lived before and their trades interesting in the museum is a Christmas crib build in a miniature of a Trulli village. One can also see... More

This is a must when visiting the Puglia region. The view of the Trulli is magnificent. Yes it's very touristy but if you get a guide to walk you around Alberobello, you will learn about the history of these sweet buildings and how they were built. Best time to go is early in the morning or late in the afternoon... More

Any UNESCO World Heritage site will be full of tacky tourist traps. Arrange for a guide to explain the history and functions of the trulli...the reasons for its unique shape and construction, as well as the history of the region in which they're found. You will be glad you did.

On of the classic features of Puglia, now rather commercialised with lots of poor quality merchandise for sale. Well worth a visit nevertheless. Very hilly so mobility needed.

We were on a cruise excursion to Alberobello and were happy with our choice. Quite a way out of Bari by bus. These trulli are unique and it is that which makes them interesting. Wandering through the little streets is very pleasant, taking in all the sights. The constant badgering by shopkeepers, trying to tempt you into their shops is... More

The trulli at Alberobello are truly quaint, and deserve their UNESCO World Heritage listing. I came from Taranto by FSE train [Ferrovie del Sud-Est]. This train, with smart modern red coaches departs from small platforms on the right hand side of Trenitalia main-line station at Taranto. [Internet for FSE train timetables and train/bus routes in the peninsula] Arriving at the... More

The trulli at Alberobello give you that Wow factor on first sight. It is great to wander around the streets, popping into various trulli, all of which seem to seem to have different things to offer from woolly hats (which we did purchase as it had dropped very chill) to beautifully made jewellery (yes, we succumbed to that was well).... We went to visit the Trulli twice, on Easter Monday and two days later. What a difference. Monday was so crowded, impossible to find a parking place, no possibility to take pictures without people. But a couple of days later, without tourists, what a relief, this is really a lovely place to visit where you can find nice things to... More

We went around town, there are two trulli neighbourhoods, Monti and Aia piccola. Monti is more commercialized, and Aia piccola is the place where people really live. We met Pascuale, who invited us, and we could see what a trullo where people live in looks like. I'd also recommend to explore rural trulli nearby - almost all of the farms... More

The trull of Alberobello are so unique that you may feel they are from another universe. The concept of disassembling these structures to avoid a govt inspector is mind boggling. How were they able to to it ? If you are in the area you must tour the area. Also, when you are driving along the nearby country roads you... More
