Wolfe Gap Vineyard is a very pleasant visit, the owners very accommodating and their blueberry wine outstanding!
Wolf Gap Vineyard is on the Shenandoah Wine Trail, but takes a bit to find. It does not look much like a vineyard when you arrive - more like a guest house in a rural neighborhood. You go up a flight stairs to get to the tasting room and while they have nice space on the front and rear porches,... More
This is a small vineyard that started less than a decade ago! We were immediately greeted by Wolf Gap Willie! He was super friendly! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed stopping in for tasting some great wines and great conversation! I highly recommend traveling along an old dirt road to this small winery!
Small, friendly winery. Tucked away on a windy dirt road, this converted house has a lot of potential as the views and grounds have space to spread out. There is a small seating area inside for inclimate weather. Wines were average, but their white blend was not enjoyable, while their Traminette was definitely noteworthy. I think we the winery/tasting room... More
Definitely a place to stop for good wines and nice owners. Williard is a wonderful host and wines are very good. The 2009 Mariage Reserve is great. Views of the mountains are amazing.
Our last stop of the day. Sat on the deck overlooking this amazing valley view. We were served 6 wines ( of our choice)and even though it was approaching the so called closing of 6:00 pm we were encouraged to stay as long as we likes. Met the owners and they were very infomative and friendly. They have about 5-6... More
You have to look a bit for Wolf Gap, but you'll be richly rewarded. We stopped for a tasting and since we were drooling over the views, the staff member suggested that we take our tasting on the deck. What a treat! The views were wonderful, as were the wines. We liked everything we tasted, and were really taken with... More
Really liked this winery and the proprietor. The tasking room was custom built, and although new, was quite quaint. It had a wrap around deck with nice outdoor seating and a great view. We went in November so not much going on, but would love to return during the summer.
I liked the atmosphere and tasting the different wines. Also,, the owners were very friendly. The grounds were so beautiful and well kept
Stopped by Wolf Gap Vineyards and found a nice tasting room, with decks, overlooking the Blue Ridge and Allegheny Mtns., depending on which way you looked. It is a family run winery, that makes small production wines. All the ones we tried were very nice and we will definitely return.
