I went there with a group of friends over the weekend. You can bring your own food and eat outside, which was nice. A few of us did the full tasting and then we say outside for ours chatting with a few bottles of wine. The women who work there are super nice. The vineyard was beautiful and not too... More

Veramar Vineyard is a great little hideway, tucked off the main road by just a few miles. They have a great vibe, and host many events as well as regular hours for wine tasting. You can sit inside in the tasting room, or enjoy their lovely patio with firepits for those chilly days. The view of the vineyard and mountains... More

We stopped at the Veramar Vineyard for a tasting in the late afternoon. It is a really beautiful spot, overlooking a mountain ridge with lots of tables to sit by to enjoy the view with a glass ($7) or bottle ($20 - 26) of wine. Our wine host was friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. The wines were a real stand out,... More

The winery is very nice, our hostess, was very good. She went over all the wines while we were trying then and told us how to pair foods and wines. What I liked best was that she was not a wine snob and made even the beginner wine drinker feel at ease. They had inside sitting and outside sitting with... More

The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The wine tasting and recommendations were helpful. The vineyard was easy to find off the main road.

My family and I visited this winery in Feb. we really had a great time. It was an excellant experience. We joined the wine club because everyone in the family, (5) really enjoyed all we had tasted. I would recommend this as a must see when in the area. The grounds were very pretty but Im sure it would be... More

The vineyard was not crowded, so the person pouring the wines was able to spend lots of time explaining the qualities of each of six different wines.

My husband and I met our daughter and friends at Veramar for wine tasting and a picnic. Tasting fees are $7.00 and includes eight wines. We liked all of the wines we tasted. Tammy took excellent care of us. Wine prices are $7.00 - $12.00 per glass or $19.00 - $25.00 per bottle. The winery is a nice size with... More

- $7 per person for wine tasting is expensive; thankfully we had free passes from our B&B (Rosemont Manor). + Grounds were beautiful with a nice tree swing; pond, lots of seating Wines were just OK and the staff was alright. Nothing to write home about. We went to another area winery and had a better time.

This was a gorgeous spot with a very knowledgable man running the tasting. The wine is average for Virginia wine which lets face it- is not always that great. But i think you really go for the great experience and we definitely had that!
