The breathtaking 35 acre oasis awakens the senses, stirs the spirit and relaxes the mind. From the first spring blossoms to the colorful fall and into the stillness of winter there is a sense of magic. Wheelchair accessible pathways wind through lavish ribbons of color and fragrance. Waterfalls sparkle in the sunlight splashing down to ponds and lakes where black and white swans, along with other waterfowl, glide in the shimmering waters. You may see peacocks strutting, or get a glimpse of blue herons or great egrets swooping down, their huge wingspans casting shadows over the lakes. « less

What an absolutely beautiful place! My family's late-April visit was a treat to the eyes with an abundance of flora and fauna. This is a photographer's paradise with countless opportunities to snap irises, day lillies, bluebonnets and many other flowers, plus lush foliage, ponds with lilly pads, fountains, bridges, swans, turtles, butterflies, blue herons, ducks, statuary and so much more,... In town for nieces wedding, entrance walk-in to gardens leave you speechless. we were there for the weekend, stayed in town. the areas for people to prepare themselves from the interior, I cannot say decorate because is looks like it was thrown together in various years or should I say decades. Outdated fabric, pictures on walls that had NOTHING to... More

Just a beautiful spot for a day trip! Highly recommend taking a picnic lunch and enjoying the landscape, scenery & wildlife. Don't forget the camera. Special events host other attractions at the Gardens. The Spring Festival had collector train sets operating under one tent with a band playing just outside the tent and classic cars/trucks on display. Another part of... More

It is always nice to visit a botanical park that is making an effort to share lovely plants and trees with the public. Most noteable is what they have accomplished with this land which is on a rock hill with very little soil cover. The garden is a good example of raised bed and container gardening mixed with large established... More

We arrived a little late but Cathy met us with her cart and took us on a wonderful trip around the park. She was so knowledgeable about the plants, history, and even down to the soil and fertilizer that was used to get the best results. Even though it was February and there were very few blooms to be seen... More
