This place is set on top of a hill overlooking the hill country. The patio is big with lots of tables, chairs, and a lounging area perfect for relaxing with friends over some good wine. The staff was very nice and welcoming and were good company. There was live music playing outside while we grazed through delicious dark chocolate from... More

This was the third stop on our Saturday wine tour and it was definitely the best. Since we had a large group (15 people) we had our tasting in a private room. There was a great selection, and our host was very knowledgeable. She was very down to earth and could explain things to the wine experts in our group... More

My husband and I visited the winery during our stay in the area and can highly recommend a visit. The wine is great and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a glass of wine on the patio taking in the views and the peaceful atmosphere - excellent!!!

A group of four of us made this our first stop last Friday for an afternoon of winery hopping. The first thing you notice when you enter the grounds is that this is a very pretty setting. The tasting room sits in the middle of a typical Texas Hill Country landscape that has been trimmed up for perfection. There are... More

We walked to here from our B&B (Rose Hill Manor). Enjoyed a wine tasting and then purchased a bottle of their Merlot and headed to the large deck outside to take in the scenery.

I drop by the wineries around Fredericksburg quite often and this was my first stop to Pedernales Cellars. It has a lovely location on top of a hill, but that is about the end of the good stuff for this place. First the woman that greeted us was demeaning, asking if we had ever done a wine tasting before --... More

I am very sorry that your visit this weekend didn't match the standards of customer service that we strive to maintain. The tasting room is very busy during the holiday season, and we work hard to make sure that each visitor enjoys their visit in spite of the higher traffic. I am again sorry that this was not the case... More

We enjoyed a very nice glass of wine here while we sat on the swinging bench overlooking a panoramic vista of the area. We did not do a tasting here as we had already tasted several wines in Driftwood. I enjoyed my glass of dry rose very much.

Rose Hill Manor provided us with a voucher for a free wine tasting which we thoroughly enjoyed. Staff was very accommodating of our requests.

Having never visited a winery before, Dora was so helpful, kind, informative, and went above and beyond to make sure our 82 yr old Mom enjoyed herself and was comfortable. Wine and tour were great, will definitely be back!

I love, love, love this place! The wine is delicious and very moderately priced, the staff is warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable, and the view! The view from the deck is breathtaking hill country. My favorite part of the Fredericksburg winery tours is stopping at Pedernales Cellars and drinking a bottle of wine on their deck. If you're in the area,... More
