We went twice and both times, we had to send food items back to the kitchen to get them reheated. One night, it was a huge shrimp pizza with lots of garlic. It came lukewarm but after a short trip back to the kitchen, it came back piping hot. The second time, we had the shrimp trio basket with three... More

Went to park today (March 28th), very disappointed with the indoor water temperature, it was unbearably cold. Luckily they had a heated swim up bar which our family stayed in the entire time. Don't think I would pay to go in March again. Service at the swim up bar was pretty good. I rated a 3 only because the entire... More

Thanks for visiting the new indoor waterpark and we look forward to seeing you this summer when both the award-winning outdoor park and "convertible roof" indoor park are both open! Sorry, that you wish the water was warmer, but with temperatures indoors at 80+ degrees and the indoor waterpark at a similar temperature, we find that is the most comfortable... More

We arrived to SPI Saturday night and were met with windy/rainy weather with temps in the 60s. Unfortunately there's not much to do here that's not outside so we decided to check out the water park. My daughter is almost 6 and we had a great time! Big tube rides were fun (although the line was a little long) and... More

So glad you enjoyed the new indoor waterpark and hopefully you are able to also enjoy the new beachfront hotel on your next visit! We purposely keep the water and air temperatures in the 80's to ensure our Guests' comfort even on those less than "Chamber of Commerce" days on normally beautiful South Padre Island. Glad we provided you a... More

I hope you enjoyed the warm 80+ degree water during your stay with an air temperature that is also kept in the low 80's!! Family-friendly, safe and fun are what Schlitterbahn Beach Resort is about and during Spring Break we enforce those same rules to make sure we are able to accommodate and exceed the expectations of our Guests. Had a horrible time and wil never choose Schlitterbahn again in my life time. Staff is super rude, can't even have my friends come in to get something. I paid over 700+ for two nights and check this out. Must have wristbands, no hot water in the afternoon, rooms were not clean, bunch of kids running around wet, floor was... More

The facility is nearly brand new, in fact the outdoor portion is not completed. However, the layout of the indoor portion makes no sense and is potentially hazardous. To get from the indoor waterpark to the hotel pool, you need to walk through the tile lobby.. which is very slippery. Someone is constantly mopping it. The children's pirate ship is... More

Thanks for taking the time to comment on your visit. The year-round, heated indoor waterpark opened in the fall of 2012 and is included with the outdoor park during the summer season. The award-winning outdoor park is open from April-September annually and will be connected to the indoor park via an underground tunnel and tube slide. Accessibility to the indoor... More

The hotel is great. Kids area is wonderful. But.....when they say indoor and heated dont think it will be warm. The only thing heated was the resort pool and it was outdoors. The indoor park yes it is nicely covered but the water was cold! During the summer I could see it probably being better. All though they say it... More

Thank you for your visit to Schlitterbahn Beach Resort and taking the time to comment on your visit. The water temperature is maintained at a warm 80-84 degrees and the Swim-Up Palapa Bar is kept in the low-mid 90's. We also keep the air temperature in the 80 degree range for the satisfaction of the majority of our Guests. We... More

We went in the fall in the evening. The outdoor temperatures were quite warm, so I can't speak as to how warm the air temperatures are inside in the winter. The water was lukewarm, which was fine for a warm evening, but I could the water needing to be warmer in the winter. I think this park is great for... More

Such fun! We were there when the outdoor park was open (didn't know there was an indoor park) for the season, only on weekends, and had a ball! Our almost 3 year old and 6 year old had so much fun and we (parents) did, too! It was all part of vacation, so cost wasn't a huge factor in it... More

Thanks for visiting! The new indoor, year-round heated park is reasonably priced and a perfect way to enjoy a day with the family. Hope you get to come down from Colorado again soon and can enjoy both the indoor and outdoor waterparks! More

In the winter only the indoor park is open. It is not very big, but our 11 and 9 year old had a really good time for 6 hours. We ate the park food which was tasty and a good value, but you can bring your own. The lazy river wasn't lazy at all with big waves, we had a... More
