I have went on three different fishing charters in the area and this one beats them all. It's a double hull so that means its roomier (extra width), it's more stable (less motion), and it has a hot food concession. I've read some bad reviews but I didnt experience anything negative. The crew was nice and comical. We caught fish... More

We went on the evening boat ride/dolphin cruise. It was fun to watch the local fishermen, ferry boats, container ships and especially the dolphins! We saw tons of dolphins nd it was wonderful o watch them and get photos. I was disappointed by the captain and the atmosphere on the boat. We did a similar boat ride in Galveston a... More

We took the Whooping Crane 4.5 hour boat trip. The guide did an excellent job of explaining all the birds we were seeing and all the history about the Whooping Cranes. The trip was very informative and relaxing.

Me and a bunch of Army buddies went there deep-sea fishing for 8-hours and it was okay, but rather lame. You get there in the early AM and you can't bring your ice chests onboard. Then you cruise for 3 hours out into the Gulf, where people start getting sick. You'll fish for hours where you use an electric reel.... More

Visit all the time - all the restaurants around here are great and the service is excellent. For great dining Roosevelts across the street has the BEST homemade key lime pie.....

If this is your first time...really, really consider what you're getting yourself into. The boat engines are load for the long drive out and back. Take ear plugs. The engines never stop even stopping to fish. The seas are never calm. Summary; constant noise and movement and there's no way out till you get back to shore. You have to... More

Family and I took the scat cat out for a 11.5 hr fishing trip. Crew was very nice, boat was clean and well kept. It was our first fishing trip and we loved it. Caught a few fish and had fun. Can't beat that for the price.

The wharf is usually bustling with fishing boats and tour boats with activity coming and going. The restaurants serve fresh, local fish in a either a rustic or upscale atmosphere.

We've gone on two deep sea trips on the Wharf Cat. Excellent experience both times. Approx. 1 hour sailing out few hours fishing and 1 hour sail back to shore. On the first trip we caught red snapper, small sharks (2-3 ft) and king fish. The second trip we only caught king fish. The deckhands are friendly & helpful. Highly... More
