If your wanting to see Madrid from the skyline this is the best place & only 2 euros to do so. We were enjoying the view when we spotted the Cocktail/Champagne bar, so we went to investigate...Yes very pricey but well worth the extravagance with excellent service & cocktails,we stayed for 3 hrs & didn't feel hustled out even though... Beautiful building which is free to enter. Once inside you can buy a ticket from the second floor to go up to the observation deck. At only 2€ per person it's well worth it! The views are amazing and the information boards are well displayed, highlighting in red the buildings you can see. A must visit place for city scape... More

In the heart of Madrid, the City Hall Building offers the visitor a wide exhibition of art, from different points of views. Along the so called "Art Promenade", it is the departure of a fantastic journey to the art and the culture in Madrid.

CentroCentro is a spectacular place, but after you've walked in and admired the hugeness of it all, you're left to wonder: where did all the art and all the people go? It is as if there was no money left by the time they had renovated this enormous palace. A giant but empty museum, a white cathedral almost, with as... More

After walking and seeing things for hours this is a great (and free) place to sit for a while. It has free wifi and very comfortable armchairs to have a rest. Once we took a break the exhibitions were even more interesting! :)

Nice views, expositions, free press and wi-fi, just in the center of Madrid. Do not miss the crystal covered passage (unfortunately opened only on Sundays).

I have visited this building several times since it was renovated. At Christmas they have a huge nativity scene that occupies the main floor. I finally got to go to the Mirador (or the Obsevation Deck) on the 8th floor. It's free. You just need an appointment time from the front desk and you get 15 minutes to view the... More

We did not go inside the palace but it is absolutely stunning to see on the outside, I was expecting something much smaller. The whole plaza is surrounded by beautiful buildings and is worth the stop. Plus it is easily accessible; just exit the Banco de España metro stop and you're there!

as I was told by an insider, half of the city of Madrid's debt - and therefore reason for the crisis - But, if you look at it and if you walk around, it's just beautiful. Used to be the general post (and communications) office. Now it's a mix of exhibition and admininstration offices. On the ground floor there is... More
