Spent a great half day shopping. The area seems to have an eclectic collection of shops including antiques, art, glass blowing etc. Weekends during summer offers a street fair type combination of fresh fruit and vegetables, plants, artisians and whatever. On the weekends this is where the students hangout. There are a lot of different clubs, bars and restaurants. It can be fun for adults too if you find the right places! La Diosa is in the Depot and it's a fantastic place for those not wanting to hangout at the bars/clubs.

A great experience. Also went to a wedding reception there. My nephew loves the different programs. It is also a wonderful place to take school groups or have birthday parties.

This is what I feel makes Lubbock a small city and not a town. How often do you see this many fun bars in a town? EXACTLY! A must-see for Lubbock!! :)

The Cactus Theater has live entertainment weekly and puts on a great show. They also host theatrical productions. There are many good restaurants and bars in the District from which to choose. (Mostly bars).

The heart of downtown Lubbock is becoming a gallery, restaurant, live music mecca for the western half of the state. Anchored by the Buddy Holly Museum which is in a former train depot--hence the name, the Depot District, this entertainment scene is the place to be in Lubbock. The first Friday of the month you'll find the First Friday Art... More
