I visited this site while my husband was at the Museum of the Pacific War. Some of the buildings actually stood on this location and some were moved here. All of the buildings are most interesting and filled with period furnishings. This is very worthwhile place to see how the pioneers of Fredericksburg lived.

This was a nice place to visit, it was nice that it was self-guided so we can meander among the different structures and see how the Pioneer's lived. I would recommend this little museum, it was worth it.

I have wanted to see a Sunday House in Fredericksburg and understood that the Pioneer Museum Complex had one, so was happy to tour this complex. The houses were interesting to look around, but there was very little else to see, and the collection of 'artefacts' was very poor. It was OK to pass an hour, but don't expect to be there all day. Note, museum is closed on Mondays.

This museum is inside and outside. I love the outside parts. There are actual person who are all dressed up. They will show you how it was like to live in the past. It was just a really place for kids to learn about the history. And it was fun too!

We enjoyed this for several hours with our kids ages 10&11. They enjoyed the hands on exhibits including making real rope which they got to keep, and some homemade campfire biscuits from the chuck wagon cook. Nice preservation of buildings and history from the local area. A great attraction!

Fredericksburg is a town proud of and rich in German history. The immigrants came from a place filled with troubles and they settled in the Hill Country and flourished. Very good collection of historical (Texas Pioneer era) buildings and exhibits. We were there during "Spring Break" and there were Living History reenactments going on in several parts of the complex. These were all of an excellent quality and very interactive with the children and adults who were there. A very good visit without too much time or cost involved.

Learning the history of Fredericksburg at this museum is like stepping back in time, worth the cost of admission
